Wow! I was counting down the days to fall and now I am already making plans for the holidays! Where does the time go?
So, for those of you that don’t know what Nano stands for, It’s National Novel Writing month. It’s where crazy people like myself hunker down for a thirty-day writing sprint to a 50k novel. So October is getting ready for November, in the craziness of 5 family birthdays, and late anniversary celebrations. I have to find time to get ready.
Among things, like plotting, I also take thought of buying supplies to get me through the month. Today I want to spotlight a helpful product that is good for reading and writing in the middle of the cold months. Fingerless gloves. I had a writer friend that got some last year, and I got hooked!
I went to a store that will remain unnamed in the middle of winter last year to get some and they didn’t have any! You have to buy stuff two seasons before you need it, which is a discussion for another day. So I have a fantastic cousin (by marriage) who is amazing at crocheting and she rocked me out a pair at my request! I love them!
I was visiting for my cousins big 40 (the one she’s married to) and picked up two more pairs. I am set for next month! I hate writing and reading with cold hands… I can’t concentrate! So the fingerless aspect helps you have flexibility with typing. It is especially useful if you have a touch screen reader. These are so comfortable I took a nap yesterday and forgot to take them off. and my hands were toasty warm when I woke up! I love these gloves. I am wearing a pair right now! My husband likes to keep the house a little cooler even when it’s cold so I have to bundle up. These gloves are great and don’t get in the way of the things I need to do.
I love supporting family- business. I could just go to pick up a pair at my local department store for 15 or more dollars or support my cousin. So I have chosen the latter! With all things consider these gloves are too great not to share! I am giving a pair away with a 25$ Etsy Giftcard because this shop has some cute stuff! I especially like their coffee soap and I tend to buy up all their hats!
Here are some pics of the gloves The link to the Etsy store is below. They are only 8$ a pair. You can’t beat that!
Happy November to everyone! I’ll be at the beach to kick off my novel-writing month!
