Tessa O'Connell is a girl as ordinary as they come-or so she thinks. Her aim for senior year is to keep her head down yet somehow manage to convince her childhood love Jay Stone to love her back. What she isn't prepared for is for Jay's brother, Cole to return to town and change the life she's always been seemingly content to live. Tall, gorgeous as all hell and a bad boy with ocean blue eyes and the perfect edge of adorability, he was her greatest tormentor, her number one enemy. But the guy that's come back is like no one Tessa's ever come across. He challenges her, he tests her limits, he forces her to bring out the girl she's long ago buried under a veil of mediocrity and most of all he compels her to consider that perhaps the boy that infuriates her to the point of no return might just her guardian angel. Warning: The story comes with a bad boy notorious for making you swoon, inducing hysterical laughter and making you question whether you could purchase a clone on eBay.
Tessa O’Connell just wants to get through her senior year. The last few years of high school have been hell thanks to her former best friend. Her former best friend is dating Tessa’s long time crush Jay stone. Tessa wants more than anything for Jay to be hers. Then comes Jay’s step-brother Cole. Cole has been away at military school. Before that he tormented Tessa relentlessly. Cole returns and wants to be Tessa’s friend. Cole challenges her to come out of her comfort zone. Everyone can see Cole’s feelings for Tessa except her. What will happen when she realizes how Cole really feels about her?
In an Oyster Shell – A swoon-worthy read that has an abrupt ending.
The Pearls –The concept is cute and well executed. A bad boy taken on a girl who strives to be ordinary is a great concept. It’s another underdog comes out of their shell story. This storyline doesn’t get old for me.
Cole is fearless except when it comes to Tessa. Tessa is full of fear and insecurities. The two coming together makes for a great story. They are great characters that are well developed and very distinctive. The supporting characters add a great depth to the story and help move it along.
The romance will make you swoon. Cole adores Tessa and has for a long time that’s why he tormented her for so long. Coming back from Military school he takes on a different approach. Though Tessa is apprehensive she does see the change in Cole. The romance runs at a good pace.
The Sand – The end was less than satisfying. It was really abrupt.
